What is The Deadhead Archives?

The Deadhead Archives is a place where you can find all of the shows that the Grateful Dead performed from their first show in San Francisco in 1970 up to the present day. Our goal is to preserve and make available for you the best audio recordings of the band, both live and studio, so you can listen to your favorite shows from the beginning to the present day.

In addition, we've made the decision to allow free Internet downloads of all our live performances recorded in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as our most recent shows in 2014 and 2015. This is in line with the band's long-standing policy of allowing free access to and trading of all live recordings of their music and ensures that fans are not left with outmoded technology.

All of our performances are licensed by the band and all of the songs are copyrighted by the Grateful Dead.
